My Council Priorities - Back to Basics

Serving this city has been the greatest honor of my political career. Over the past few years, we have done the heavy lifting to achieve true fiscal stability. Because we have been responsible with the budget, we now have the foundation to move forward with a clear, renewed focus.
I am running for reelection because I believe a great city isn't defined by flashy promises or political noise—it’s defined by how well it serves its residents every single day. My mission for the 2026–2030 term is simple: Back to Basics.
I believe the city’s primary responsibility is to master its essential mandates. We need to shift our focus to the core services that impact your property values, your safety, and your quality of life.
Public Safety First
A community is only as strong as it is safe. We will continue to invest in our first responders, ensuring our police and emergency services have the staffing, training, and technology they need to keep our neighborhoods secure and response times low.
Parks & Sports Fields
Our parks are the "living rooms" of our city. I am committed to ensuring our green spaces are pristine and our sports facilities are upgraded. Our athletes and families deserve modern, well-maintained fields they can be proud of.
Seniors & Youth
The measure of a community is how it cares for its most vulnerable and its most promising. We will revitalize our community centers and expand programming to ensure our seniors have the support they need and our youth have safe, enriching environments to grow.
Infrastructure & Maintenance

We are moving beyond "quick fixes." My plan prioritizes a long-term strategy for smooth roads, repaired sidewalks, and a healthy urban forest. If you walk, drive, or live on it, it should be well-maintained.
Long-Term Financial Stability
Responsible government starts with a balanced budget and a "rainy day" fund that protects us against economic uncertainty. We have worked hard to achieve fiscal health, and my goal is to increase our city reserves to 40%. It’s about ensuring the city has the staying power to maintain essential services and respond to emergencies without raising taxes on our residents.
